So I discovered that I was unjustly suspended by trickery! This is what the Dean in Cohorts with Oga President did, they prepared and documented an invitation for me to be at a disciplinary to investigate the threat letter claimed to be issued by me. Only that the letter was not sent and I believe the invitation was documented twice. Hence it seemed like I refused to attend the hearings so I was suspended for insubordination!
But what should I do? How do I tell my mum? My dad was already late at this point. He died of supposed food poisoning while on a journey oh, so no one to really accuse. Thankfully my friend took it upon himself to call my mum and bell the cat. She came to town, and with the help of my grandmother connected me to a few people, even people one of which happened to even be the registrar whose signature signed my suspension letter!
So I only spent IT year “indefinitely suspended” and missed nothing. I resumed school with my peers in the fifth year determined to work harder and balance my grades.
Then something strange and even comedic happened in my final semester, actually two things, one day I was at the notice board checking my results for the previous semester then besides me walks in “Oga President” he says to me “Judith let’s go to the Dean of Students I want to clear your name and tell them the letter was a lie!” I was like what the heck? If I hadn’t been able to rectify this till now, is this when you will speak up?
The second thing that happened was even more comedic. So I went to the town market to do some shopping. I saw a crowd gathering, I try to investigate what the fuss was about. I ask an old lady close to me. She says “there is a Pastor in the center of the crowd, he just healed a cripple”, my curiosity was definitely aroused at this point so I moved closer to see. Loo and behold the supposed miracle working Pastor was none other than Oga President!
I felt robbed! I left there in rage. Few weeks later I hear that Oga President had started preaching at bus stops and car parks. And after he supposedly graduated with a second class upper, he remained in that school town and founded a church.
A few years ago, I was on Facebook and I saw a friend request from none other than him. A bitter smile cropped up my face, I go through his profile then deleted the request. No I do not hate or have a grudge with him, but no way am I letting him and any body who treated me bad in times past into my space. It’s not pride but self care!
It’s Monday again. Do be mindful of what you let into your mind space.
“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”
Proverbs 4:23 NKJV
